My post title is a variation on this particularly angry post by Atrios (who incidentally was a professor of economics until he struck gold and became one of the highest paid bloggers on the planet -- bastard).

Anyway, Atrios has rightly blown a gasket over the Dems' epic cave job to the GOP Daddies In Nice Suits (Paulson, et al.), whose ominous closed-door briefings terrify the Dem "leadership" into giving them whatever they ask for (see also "Iraq War").

And if I hear anyone say the Democrats "have to" support the rethug prescription for the rethug-created economic meltdown, I will rip that person’s genitals off.
