The Village Elders
Democratic candidates not only listen to these gasbags; they design their entire campaigns to appease them.

Your Turn
What do you want to discuss?
Frankly, I have nothing to add right now. To my horror (but not surprise), BushCo is dying a slow death, which includes condemnation and ridicule but no accountability. It looks like Bush and Cheney will simply fade off into a life of obscene luxury. I don’t give a fuck that future historians will not be kind. That is fucking meaningless to me.
Oh, I do have one thing to add. I’ve noticed a new practice by idiots that inhabit our world.
They now just walk out into traffic.
Sure, we’ve all jaywalked on ocassion, but I shit you not, these people just walk out into the roadways (not at designated crossings) and take their sweet, oblivious time getting across the street, often with their backs turned to oncoming vehicles, which have to slow down or maneuver around these numbskulls. Has anyone else witnessed this? I’ve seen it several times lately.
WTF is going on?

The Rehabilitation of Colin Powell
I recently heard Colin Powell delivering a speech that was sharply critical of BushCo's clusterfuck in Iraq. The speech was punctuated by thunderous applause from the crowd. I almost exploded in anger – both for Powell’s audacity to attempt to separate himself from the Bush war crimes, and for the amnesiac imbeciles in the audience who still believe in the myth of Saint Colin the Good and Wise.
Idiots.
Bush is a Republican
The conservative whore media portray Bush as an isolated disaster and not the leader of the Republican Party. This disassociation of the “president” from his political party is a great service to Republican presidential hopefuls, who cravenly and dishonestly distance themselves from the worst president ever.
We need to do everything we can to make sure voters remember the obvious: the Bush disaster is a Republican disaster. Bush is not an aberration within the Republican Party. He is the embodiment of the Republican Party. He is what happens when you vote Republican.
Duh.

New England Bound
I’m off to enjoy Murph and Rose’s wedding -- and clam chowdah, and lobster, and cute little fishermen, etc. Back next Thursday.
Until then, enjoy The Man-Crush Primary.
