It was a banner day—literally—for Smithantics, as I experienced the rare opportunity of riding shotgun with the mysterious Freeway Blogger on his announced visit to Sacramento.

My daylong apprenticeship was exhilarating, scary, exhausting, and rewarding as hell. The Freeway Blogger is a serious revolutionary -- in the most American sense of the word. The man will not rest until freeway blogging becomes a national phenomenon. Of course, he can always count on the Dawn Patrol to keep the revolution alive in Sacramento.
