I'm pretty excited about the Edwards pick. This is a damn solid ticket. The seasoned war hero and the fiery southern stallion. Both Senators, both intelligent and articulate as hell. Shit, look at ‘em. They look damn good together. This is a winning combo, for sure.

And as one of the talking heads correctly pointed out last night, Edwards is a mega-successful trial lawyer who has been carving up courtroom opponents for years. If you don’t think he can handle Cheney in the debates, you haven’t heard him speak. Edwards is no lightweight.

Sure, I could justifiably go Nader on these guys and talk about their massive combined wealth, their apparent disconnect from working class Americans, and the corporatized party they represent, but I’m not gonna do that today. We have priorities. These are our horses. Let’s ride them into the White House.
