Happy Friday

Yesterday's Supreme Court ruling is a good start -- and nothing more.

Sorry, but it's gonna take a hell of a lot more than granting due process to Gitmo detainess to convince me that we're climbing out of this Hell.

Anyway, have a great holiday weekend.

Hey, this is pretty cool!

I think I’ve posted this about five times, and I’ve read it many more times than that. But it’s so damn funny, I’m posting it again.

War Bloggers

First we have the 101st Fighting Keyboarders, and now we learn of the heroic exploits of the 82nd Chairborne.

Too fucking funny!

Their war is waged from mom’s basement (i.e., the Bunker) and fueled by a steady supply of Hot Pockets.

Fucking idiot clowns.

Permanent Bases: Like Anyone Gives a Shit

Here’s a good post and discussion on permanent bases in Iraq. This comment pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject.

And yes, if the Democrats weren’t running the most inept political operation in history, they might seize on this issue. But, of course, we know that they are in the tank for BushCo, and placing any confidence in them is a sucker’s game.

I tell you, once Rove skated, I pretty much reached the “fuck it” stage.

Stick a fork in this sorry-ass embarrassment of a country.

Nothing to See Here….

Um, yeah, I’ve been thinking the same thing.

Of course, I’m practically numb to the fact that the MSM are on their knees to BushCo and contort themselves into pretzel-like shapes to cover for these corrupt bastards.

Try to imagine the media response to the felony conviction of a high-level member of the Clinton White House.

Joe’s Man-Crush

Remember, this idiot is one of the leading “liberal” columnists in the country.

The dude has a boner for Bush.

Pheeeew.

Well, our worries are finally over.

‘S-all good folks.

The presidency is ours.

Happy Friday

The MSM is trumpeting Bush’s “comeback.” It’s on every “news” channel.

This country is kaput.

Arnold Slayer?

You're kidding me, right?

This is our guy?

This is the best the Democrats could do?

There must be a mistake. This isn’t our candidate.

This is the president of the International of Dungeons & Dragons Club.

Right?

(Note to the eternal optimists and glass-half-fullers, who undoubtedly think this post is counterproductive. To those who believe that charisma and presence are not critical to electoral success. To those who say we need to line up behind our candidate no matter who he or she is and to save our attacks for the Republicans. I ask you, at what point do we recognize that the Democratic leadership in this country is a sick joke, a clueless gang of professional losers that deserve not our allegiance, but our scorn and ridicule?)

Be Still my Heart

With all due enthusiasm, I’ll be voting for Angelides.

Still deciding on many of the other ballot items.

What are your thoughts?

BTW: There’s some good discussion happening on Democratic Underground’s California forum. I found this there. Gag me. Reminds me of another shameful moment in political history.

Hold on to Sixteen as Long as You Caaaaayan….

Okay, non-political post here. I thought some of you might get a kick out of hearing that I just signed up for a one-hour private drum lesson with one of the premier rock drummers in the world— Kenny Aronoff. He’s coming to Davis in a couple weeks for a drum clinic and private lessons.

You’ll know him best as the former drummer for John Cougar Mellencamp. He’s the one who played the famous drum break in “Jack and Diane.”

I plan to spend the entire hour ranting about the Bush administration.

I’ll show that bald-headed bastard what’s up.
