Red State Bound

I’m off to Nebraska for Amy’s granny’s funeral.

I’m sure I’ll fit in real well.

I’ll try to post from there if I can.

(Feel free to crack wise)

No sir.

My Anger Boileth Over

This is the sound of me blowing a gasket.

Now read this.

Don't forget: Every Democratic Senator has seen these photos.

Words fail.

John McCain: Karl Rove's Jiz Rag

This video is priceless.

The “good Republican” John McCain is stumbling, bumbling, and falling all over himself to defend the man who unleashed a smear campaign on him that would make Nixon blush.

My apologies to the McCain fans out there.

Yeah, yeah, I know: He has to do this stuff.

Another Massive Lie: Phase II WMD Intelligence Investigation

You know, the one that was supposed to take place “after the election.”

From “The Nation” (March 24, 2005)

Last July the Senate Intelligence Committee released a much-anticipated report on the prewar intelligence on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The study concluded that the intelligence community--led by the CIA--had "overstated" and "mischaracterized" the intelligence on Iraq's (nonexistent) WMDs.

….

But the committee's report did not cover a crucial area: how the Bush Administration used--or abused--the prewar intelligence to build support for the Iraq invasion. [Republican Senator Pat] Roberts claimed his committee was hot on that trail: "It is one of my top priorities," he said. The problem, he explained, was that there was not enough time before the November election to complete the assignment. Rockefeller took issue with that and complained that the "central issue of how intelligence was...exaggerated by Bush Administration officials" was being relegated into a "Phase II" investigation that would not begin until after the election. A Democratic committee staffer said that such an inquiry could easily be completed within months.
”Hot on that trail”

“top priority.”

This investiagtion never took place, and it's down the memory hole because the whore press would rather recite Republican talking points and enable war crimes than risk losing their cushy beltway-cool-kids jobs.

Benedict Rove’s jiz drips from their chins.

Hall of Plame

Damn, this thing is getting good. It’s getting nearly impossible to keep up with all the conflicting pieces of testimony and lies. Shwweeeeee!

I’m not even going to try to keep up with the rapidly unfolding developments on this blog. Just check Daily Kos, Atrios, and Crooks and Liars multiple times a day. Of course, I'll post about the big, juicy stuff.

Do yourself a favor. Ditch the “nobody cares about this” mindset.

This horse is out of the barn and kickin’ up a major shitstorm.

Saddle up!

Let Them Eat Bush

This statement from Eric Alterman is pretty hard core:
Anyway, the Roberts nomination seems to mean we should plan on saying goodbye to thirty-two years of life under “Roe,” which is not entirely a bad thing, even for pro-choice advocates. After all, Bush did terrific with unmarried women without college educations. It would be helpful, politically (and democratically) for them to learn just what it was they were voting for.
Yep.

A Brief Return to the Illusion

It’s funny how the naming of a new Supreme Court justice allows the traitorous war criminal to play “president” again —if only for a day or two.

It's downright surreal, given that there are confirmed traitors in the White House.

Of course, the MSM play dutifully along (I’m home playing hooky today, watching Blitzer and company forget about all the thug crime that’s going to end this presidency).

That’s okay, though. Let them play “resolute and beloved leader” for the moment. After all, it’s what they do.

The inevitable will come crashing down on them.

Hard.

Meltdown

This blog rocks—hence its elevation to the First Reads list. These guys compile and link all the choice video from the cable and network news shows. They sift through the garbage and get right to the meat. It’s a beautiful thing if you’re a junkie like me.

Speaking of junkies, if you don't have a laser lock on the busting of the White House and the exquisitely bungling effort of its mouthpieces to spin their way out of it, you are fucking nuts!

This is precisely what we’ve been waiting for, guys.

Yes, we’re cynical, skeptical, and jaded as hell. Count me at the top of that list. No, we won’t start the party until these guys go down in a ball of righteous flames.

But there is a fuse burning right now. Don’t let your well-founded cynicism keep you from watching the greatest show on earth. Hell, this could be the greatest political scandal in history. Remember, this ain’t just about Rove; this is about a massive complex of lies all wrapped around a disastrous and unnecessary war.

This is not a sideshow.

This is history in the making.

Hey, where are all the Trolls?

Aren't you fuckwads going to defend the traitorous scum that is "Bush's Brain"?

It Depends on What the Meaning of the Word 'is' is

Did I mention that I am loving this.

It’s too bad I have a job. Otherwise, I‘d be blogging like a madman.

If you’re not following the coverage on Atrios, Kos, and Crooks and Liars, you’re missing out on the Greatest Show on Earth.

Pass the popcorn, baby!

Your Librul Media

Oh my fucking God.

If the Clinton White House outed an undercover CIA operative working on WMD proliferation during a “war on terror,” how do you think the press gaggle would respond?

Can you say “media feeding frenzy”?

"Who we’all honorin’ here today?"

Deeply troubling.

My First Thoughts When I Learned of the London Bombings

“How will this help BushCo?”

“Will this get Karl Rove off the hook?”

How fucking sad is it that? It was only after I asked myself those questions that I thought of the dead and wounded and their families.

I hate these fucks with every fiber of my being.

Happy Fourth, Everyone!

Regular blogging to resume as soon as Comcast gets their shit together and hooks up my cable and internet.

Meanwhile, my weekend looks to be a productive one.

Time to pile on, friends.
