Assclown: The Series

That’s right, folks!

'Assclown' will now be a regularly featured program on this blog!

Here’s tonight’s episode.

|

Belushi Basher

And you thought he was merely a stenographer for BushCo.

I read ‘Wired’ years ago. I found it to be thoroughly engrossing, as I do most drug spirals.

Then again, I was about 18.

Piss off, Woodward.

|

Earth Calling Captain Fantasy

I watched the imbecile they call “president” deliver Karl Rove and Dick Cheney's handjob to the nation this morning.

It’s time for the straightjacket, friends.

This man actually believes that the Middle East can be fire-bombed into a Western-style democracy, which will be willingly and effectively defended by American-trained Iraqi Keystone Cops once we “leave.”

This disastrous war and occupation is pouring gasoline on the flames of Islamic militancy, and this lunatic believes that “victory” is within our grasp.

This is a child playing Nintendo.

We’re sinking deeper into this morass, and there is no end in sight.

How can this be happening?

Where is the press?

Where is congress?

Where are the men in the white coats?

“Stay the Course” is not a program for victory. It is a recipe for the greatest foreign policy disaster in U.S. history.

Christ, do these people have any concept of military strategy, of history, of reality?

Withdraw. Impeach. Convict.

Now.

More reality-based commentary here, here, here, and here.

Assclown

Does Matthews (AKA "Tweety") actually believe this?

Dude, step out of the fucking bubble for five minutes.

Another Rethuglican Criminal Resigns

The Party of morality.

Rove: “Gulp”

Mondays suck ass -- especially after long holiday weekends.

Luckily, I’m here to brighten your day, if only just a little.

And as a wise commenter pointed out, this sounds suspiciously like INTENT.

Bring on the cockpunch for Karl.

The Disease

Seriously, go off and die somewhere, you putrid hunk of excrement.

Damn you fucking fascists (Coulter, O’Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, Cheney, Frist, etc., etc.). You’ve cultivated a hatred in me I did not think or wish I could ever be capable of. I genuinely wish death on you monsters.

Thanks a fucking lot.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The cornucopia of deceit continues to giveth.

And Mark Morford is still funny as hell.

Back on Monday.

Pimple Ass vs. Purple Heart

The drug addict who got out of serving in Vietnam because of an anal cyst is calling the decorated war hero a “useful idiot.”

|

Singin’ Scanlon

This is the kind of stuff that brightens my day.

Half a dozen members of congress.

Anyone care to bet that they're all GOP?

Bring on the Rethuglican meltdown.

Faster please.

Global Embarrassment

And in case you missed the full sequence….

|

Progress

Dead American soldiers: 2,094

Wounded American soldiers: 15,704

Minimum Iraqi civilian deaths: 26,994

Cost of the war to American taxpayers as of today: over $221 Billion

Guess how many Iraqi troops are battle ready and can stand on their own, according to the Pentagon?

Answer here.

Worst. President. Ever.

|

The Next President

The beltway media whores (Broder, Matthews, et al.) are gushing over McCain. He is the darling of the mainstream media, who have finally decided it’s not cool to suck up to Bush anymore. The Republican-groupie press loves McCain, and it won’t take much for a critical mass of American voters (Democrats included) to embrace him. Meanwhile, the Democratic party leadership is telling us “they’ll have positions later.” This is beyond infuriating. And the notion that McCain will not succeed because the base doesn’t support him is bullshit. McCain is poised for the White House. If the Dems don’t get their shit together, we’re gonna have another Republican in 2009.

Jeezus Christ, the Dems are clueless.

Atrios has more on the “good Republican.”

Backbone

"The president and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory, or their backbone. But we're not going to sit by and let them rewrite history.”

— Dick Cheney, November 16, 2005

FIVE DEFERMENTS:

1st deferment: Cheney enrolled in Casper Community College in January 1963 -- he turned 22 that month -- and sought his first student deferment on March 20.

2nd deferment: (student), after transferring to the University of Wyoming on July 23, 1963.

3rd deferment:(student)on Oct. 14, 1964.

4th deferment: attended graduate school at the University of Wyoming on Nov. 1, 1965.

5th deferment: On Oct. 6, 1965, the Selective Service lifted its ban against drafting married men who had no children. Nine months and two days later, Cheney had his first daughter. Cheney applied for 3-A status, the ''hardship'' exemption, which excluded men with children or dependent parents. It was granted.

Yes, that is young chickenhawk Cheney pictured above.

What Would Colonel Potter think about BushCo?

I think he’d be pissed off.

Scott, what do you think?

|

Fitztastic

Music to my ears.

Here's a bold prediction: BushCo and its legion of mouthpieces in the hack media will finally begin the swiftboating of Fitzgerald. They've already begun testing the waters.

Never forget the complicity of the mainstream media in the Bush reign of disaster. History will not be kind to these people, who have been deeply corrupted by access, the insularity of the DC cocktail party circuit, and a general fawning deference to Republican power. These derilict BushCo groupies deserve our deepest contempt. To the gallows with these hacks when this thing is all over and the war crimes tribunal metes out justice.

All in a Day’s Work

Actually, it took Capt’ K and me about fifteen minutes to make this sign and about five seconds to bungee cord it to the overpass. The signs usually stay up for about an hour during the rush hour commute. We estimate that no fewer than 6,000 drivers see our message during that hour.

The braindead Bushbots that rip down the signs consistently leave them on the ground underneath the overpass, so we simply recover them for later use.

Idiots.

Then again, what else would you expect from a rock-stupid bitter-ender.

Did I mention that Freewayblogging is fun.

Clean House

I apologize for the rather brief and unimaginative content of this blog lately. That fact is I just don’t have as much time to devote to this thing as I used to. My job pretty much kicks my ass all day long. Another reason for the thinness of the content here is that I’m simply running out of ways to express just how fucked up things are in this world right now. Luckily there are some excellent blogs linked to your right that are operated by full-time bloggers who do excellent work.

There is a question that has been nagging the crap out of me, though.

Just how long will this country be permitted to suck?

After five agonizing years, most of the country (idiotic bitter-enders excluded) finally realizes that BushCo (the administration and its henchmen in the legislative and judicial branches) is the worst government this country has ever had.

Well, okay, now that most of us are in agreement over that undeniable fact, are our elected representatives just going to let it continue? Will there be no concrete and measurable consequences for the blatant lies and incompetence of these criminals? The fact that these animals achieved office in the first place represents one of this country’s greatest and most embarrassing failures. But it’s looking like this disaster will continue for years to come. Bush will limp to 2009.

That is fucking absurd.

It’s time for a major house-cleaning. And that house-cleaning should include the removal of every last Democrat who voted to give BushCo authorization to invade Iraq—Kerry, Edwards, Clinton—every cowardly, opportunistic, corporate-sponsored whore who is complicit in this grave crisis we find ourselves in. I will not defend these people. They were our only protection against the tyranny of BushCo, and they failed us completely.

Out with the whole lot of criminals and criminal enablers.

In my dreams.

Breaking: “Hippie” Joe Wilson Outed his own Wife

And no one is investigating it!

Our faux fag troll must have pulled this chestnut right out of Rush Limbaugh's drug-addled ass.

Wow! I don't even think Hannity is going that deep into the well of desperation.

Congratulations, dude, you are the biggest idiot I have ever encountered.

Oh, and the media is liberal, the Democrats don’t stand for anything, investigations into BushCo are politically inspired witch-hunts, wank, wank, wank….

The New McCarthy Waves the Red Flag to the Terrorist Bull

This motherfucker should be fired and then arrested.

As you can imagine, San Franciscans aren’t too happy about this either.

This lying sack of shit.

|

Desperate Sick Fuck

Man, I can’t believe I’ve had this blog for nearly two years and I haven’t featured the contemptible right-wing asshole Ben Stein. Seriously, I have a visceral reaction to this man.

Oddly enough, many people know him as a quirky, brainy game show host or a Visine pitch man and don’t realize what a vicious lying partisan hack he is. Well, for those people, allow me to introduce the real Ben Stein.

The Comedy of Errors Continues

Bwhaahhh!

Selling the War

Credit where credit is due. Hardball had a great segment on the selling of the war.

I’m sure at least four people saw it.

The Shameful Existence of John McCain

"No, I don't think so."

BushCo bend-over artist John McCain, when asked if Rove should lose his security clearance.

The tragic thing is that a great swath of so called “moderates” in this country hold the ridiculous illusion of McCain as the “good Republican” and would vote him into the White House in a second.

Idiots abound.

|

The Big Stinking Elephant in the Room

Why is this unvarnished truth only broadcasted on the left blogosphere?
The BushCo use of discredited evidence to deceive the country into the Iraq Debacle was systematic. From yellowcake, to Curveball, to the now revealed information on the lies BushCo stated on false Iraq-Al Qaida links, the criminal behavior that has led us to one of the most precarious strategic positions the country has faced since the end of the Cold War. And it is due to the deliberate falsehoods from the worst Administration in history, enabled by the worst performance by the American Media since Hearst and Pulitzer cheerleaded the country into the Spanish-American War.
There. Was that so hard?

Meanwhile, on this blog we’re treated to infantile wingnut trolls who parrot the desperate Limbaugh fantasy that Clinton co-led us into Iraq.

Do you losers have any idea how fucking absurd you are?

Yes, that's the ticket: Cheney and his neocon spooks had to cook up a false case for a war that everyone wanted in the first place.

Stop hiding behind Clinton and get your asses to the recruiting office, you fucking dandies.

Obstinate Clowns: Hurting America

Can’t these people just admit they’re wrong?

The answer is no. They’ll be lying and whoring until the bitter end — if that ever gets here.

Aaagh!!

You know the music in the movie Psycho? That “shriek – shriek – shriek” sound that plays during the famous shower scene when Janet Leigh’s character is being stabbed to death?

Do you have that sound in your head?

Okay. now click here.

Here’s another take on the same image.

Oh, hell. Let’s just pile on.

Trolls Hate the Truth

Especially when it’s posted on the freeways.

So here you go, you gutless wonders.

A message hung by Capt. K and me last week during morning rush hour conditions is on the front page of freewayblogger.com.

Bush Lied. 2,000 Died.

I'd guess no fewer than 10,000 commuters saw the sign -- probably a lot more.

Cheney's Cheney's Cheney

Gotta love Maureen Dowd!

Dems Going Nukular?

Harry Reid just pulled the Senate into a very rare closed session over BushCo’s lies that led us into war and the Rethuglican coverup.

Frist is pissed!

I’m tempted to say this is big, but I don’t do that anymore.

Cut to Chris Matthews tonight:

“Have the Democrats gone COMPLETELY off the edge?” (incredulous chuckle)

|

Wrath of Bush

Hadn’t heard about this.

Cool!

Your Turn

I'm too swamped to post right now, so use the comments section to sound off, post links, whatever.

What do y'all think about "Scalito"?

And is Treasongate receding into the background, or is it just starting to get good? I honestly have no idea. I do know that I have lost my taste for speculation on the matter.
